Area Statement Support for Mid and North Wales

Worked with Natural Resource Wales Local Area Teams to plan and deliver community engagement on the Mid, North East and North West Wales in order to clarify the themes and identify opportunities and outcomes in the Area Statements. For a copy of the reports visit the publications page.

Co-Producing a Charter for Change

Worked with the Charter for Change group with Barod to co-produce two workshops to investigate age discrimination in adult substance misuse services in Wales.  Recommendations from the workshops were presented to the Senedd in 2019.

Secondment with Wales Co-operative Centre

Worked for the Wales Co-operative Centre to develop a strategy for the co-operative social care sector in Wales as part of the Care To Co-operate project.

Organisational Development

Project managed the planning and delivery of a Partnership Development Day for Swansea Community Farm as a way to identify and plan future partnership opportunities.

Working for Practice Solutions, helped develop a Peer Associate Inspector Model for Care Inspectorate Wales - specifically project managing the engagement work with local authority officers to explore the challenges this model might present in terms of effective inspection, user involvement and service improvement.  

Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitated a series of workshops across Wales to co-produce a strategy with the voluntary sector on how Public Health Wales could work in parthership to achieve healthy and well communities.

Community Consultation

Ran a user engagement day with the users of an Old People's Day Centre.  Basing the session on Appreciative Inquiry techniques, it was possible to get a clear picture of the local community's needs and how the Centre could meet those needs more effectively. 

Organisational Development through Staff Engagement

Co-faciliated workshops for CCG staff on improving customer services as part of a process of organisational change. Co-facilitator was Cath Allen from Cath Allen Associates.

Organisational Development through Staff Engagement

Faciliated a series of workshops for Public Health Wales about the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and the impact it would have on the organisation, individual teams and various programmes of work.  It was an opportunity for staff to feed into the organisation's programme of work in relation to this legislation. A report was produced with a series of recommendations for PHW to take forward based on the staff's combined insights and experience.

Delivered bespoke training for Interlink staff on Appreciative Inquiry for their officers to apply in their different areas of work. 

Volunteer and Staff Training

Delivered a key note speech and an interactive workshop on Workplace Wellbeing at WCVA's Annual Volunteering Conference.

Organisational Development through Employee Empowerment

Contributed to the development of a training package to train employees in the basics of facilitating working groups as part of an engagement programme for a large multi-national company.  Then sent out to train a team of facilitators in Singapore as the second phase of of this employee empowerment programme. 

Research Fieldworker

Carried out field work for the People and Work Unit including; a report to Welsh Government on teacher training for Special Educational Needs; the priorities for a voluntary sector Carers Network; arrangements for post 16/18 transition for young people with learning difficulties; and the Youth Engagement and Progression Framework.

Organisational Development through Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitated strategy days for the staff, users and advisors for a Cardiff and the Vale Action for Mental Health project. Helped to build a sense of purpose amongst the participants and identify their tasks to effectively move the project forward.

Workplace Wellbeing Assessment

Provided an indepth analysis of the workplace wellbeing for Cardiff Council to inform the leadership about the effectiveness of the workforce engagement activities in order to tackle staff sickness levels and the reduce costs.
