Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement Services

I am an experienced, bilingual, level three facilitator accredited with the UK Association of Facilitators. I’ve experience working in a range of different situations – ranging from big organisations to small community settings.

The Clwyd River Catchment Forum is an initiative that aims to bring stakeholders with different interests together to mitigate the challenges and instigate the opportunities that exist within the catchment. With my support, Forum members are developing new ways of working to tackle issues as diverse as climate change, natural flood management, water quality, restorative farming and sustainable tourism that will benefit both current and future generations.

I established and facilitated the first Citizen Assembly for the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority in 2021.  This work identified the issues critical to the Park, and communities that live there for inclusion in their Management Plan. I continued to work with the Authority officers and members to understand how these issues could be resolved through the initial development and subsequent delivery of the Park’s Management Plan.

Qualifications Wales commissioned me to facilitate a series of workshops on the development of the course content and assessment criteria for the future Mathematics and Numeracy GCSE qualification in Wales. This involved a series of online workshops with Qualification Wales, teachers, academics, and providers from across the UK, to scope out the process, understand participant concerns, identify areas of agreement and move the process towards its conclusion.

I supported the authors of the Welsh Government’s Review of the Demand, Capacity and Design of Neurodevelopmental Services in Wales by designing and facilitating a series of workshops with public sector and voluntary sector service providers, leaders and policy officers to reflect on the findings of the review and understand each stakeholder’s perspective about the possible review options. Organisational Development

I work with my client to frame the issues, get people involved and be part of the change that makes things happen.

I worked with the Mon and Gwynedd Public Service Board and its voluntary, public and private sector members to plan how they might collectively manage and mitigate the impacts of climate change in Northwest Wales.

The aim of this 15-month pilot project was to establish a co-operative brokerage to present the needs of local businesses to public sector procurement officers within Rhondda Cynon Taf. I brought the different stakeholders together so that each side understood what they had on offer, but also identify constraints within the model. The project demonstrated the potential for a sustainable foundational economy within the county – aiming to create a short, resilient supply chain providing more work, closer to home for local residents.

In 2019 I was commissioned to support the work of the Natural Resources Wales in North and Mid Wales taking forward the objectives of three regional Area Statements. I have worked with officers and local representatives to support site and issue specific engagement processes aimed at co-producing a resilient environment – as required by national legislation and local residents.

Qualitative Research and Evaluations

Using creative and participative research techniques I get the right information to inform my client’s most important decisions.

The Climate Adaptation Strategy for Pembrokeshire was funded by the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund. I was commissioned to independently evaluate the process of developing the Strategy as required by the scheme. This included documentary reviews, developing a theory of change, interviewing local stakeholders, and publishing a final report.

Strategy Evaluation

I project managed and was lead qualitative researcher for the evaluation of a personal outcome-focused planning app being trialled with social care and employment support agencies in Wales. By gathering stories and narratives about how the app was used, my research demonstrated its impact, as required by the UK Government’s Small Business Research Initiative and contributed to its ongoing development.  For more details visit:

I worked with Food Vale and the Cardiff and Vale Public Health team to make sense of individual decision making about low budget food choices in the Vale of Glamorgan. I then used the findings from my research as a catalyst for a group of interested organisations and individuals to come together to form the Food Vale initiative, ‘working together to build a thriving, healthy and sustainable food system in the Vale.’ For more details about Food Vale visit:
